Now, Instructions for those who don't have Windows 8 WMC Upgrade key (Key which Microsoft provided free in 2012):


1. Disable Internet Connection.

2. Right click the start menu and choose "command prompt (admin).

3. Type this script and hit Enter:

slmgr.vbs -ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

Replace XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX with this Product Key and hit enter:

4. Now, again right click the start menu and choose "command prompt (admin), Type slui 4 in the command prompt then click NEXT.

5. Select your Country as United Kingdom.

6. Now you’ll get the Installation IDs. At this point connect to the internet and call using Skype.

7. Calling by Skype Instructions:

Dial phone and if you have been ask:
Q:Product key for home or business
A:Home [Dial 1]
Now you’ll be asked for the installation IDs.
Enter the 9 set of IDs you got one by one as instructed by the server.
After giving installation ID, you’ll be asked-
Q:How many computer you want to use it
A:1 [Dial 1]



8. Finally, you’ll get the confirmation IDs from the server. Note them down or directly put them in the boxes provided and click Activate Windows.

9. Windows 8.1 Pro will now get Permanently activated.

10. Now, in order to add Windows Media Center, Go To Control Panel\System and Security\System. Click on Get More Features with a new edition of Windows.

11. Click I already have a product key and enter this key(s):

12. Windows will now add the WMC Features and will restart your PC.

13. Now, Windows will become unactivated (Don't worry).

14. Now, simply use the Phone Activation (Follow Steps 1 to 7).

15. Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center will now get Permanently activated.
